MEET YOUR THERAPIST
Marie Mirbach
(she/her)
“I am incredibly passionate about helping my clients live more authentic lives as I believe this as a crucial step in contributing to the greater well-being of our community.”
“I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor working with individuals and couples to develop greater well-being. My practice is based in Daylesford, VIC and I also offer the opportunity to work with clients online.
My approach is based on the assumption that every person and relationship is unique and thus best treatment requires to be tailored to you as an individual or couple. Whether you are experiencing specific life challenges, wish to develop deeper self-understanding, or want to experience more fulfilling relationships, psychotherapy is a powerful tool that can support your process.
I pay great attention to offering a space which is safe and non-judgemental and I value being culturally sensitive and trauma-informed. In the room I am guided foremost by curiosity and a systemic approach to try to understand: what it is like to be you and how you have come to be the person you are. It is important to me that we work collaboratively in identifying and addressing your unique needs and goals for therapy by drawing upon your personal strengths and resources.
My work is largely informed by mentalisation based therapy, developmental psychology, attachment theory, existentialism as well as art, gestalt and sensorimotor therapy. These models are woven together according to your challenges and desired goals, as we collaboratively strive to cultivate a therapeutic relationship that serves as the vehicle for your desired change.”
Marie is bilingual and offers therapy in English and German.
